Activity garden placemaking for a community hospital.

Enniscorthy Activity Garden.

Started in 2021, presented in 2022. St John’s Community Hospital, Co. Wexford.

  • Elements of Action worked with a number of client partners in this project, including St Johns Community Hospital, Wexford County Council (Culture & Creativity Team + Age Friendly Program) Health Service Executive (HSE) and Creative Ireland and the Irish Architecture Foundation.

    Funded by Creative Ireland.

  • A creative green outdoor area that encourages the staff, service users and general public to both, engage and relax in the park.

  • We used our approach of meaningful engagement to build openness and involve a diverse population of staff; patients and locals in a co-designing placemaking initiative for the grounds of St John’s Community Hospital.

    Our studio created a master plan layout for elements and features, a guide on budget, and phased delivery proposal.
